Operations Manager – Community Services

Enliven Disability Services work alongside young people under 65 living with a disability. We aim to empower and support our clients to live an extraordinary life as valued members of the community. You will be part of a team working to make a difference in your local community.

Enliven Disability is looking for the right person to provide operational leadership across their community services in Hawke’s Bay

About the role:

You will be responsible for the delivery of work programmes across multiple contracts funded by the Ministry of Social Development, ACC, Tertiary Education Commission and the Ministry for Culture and Heritage.

You will lead the delivery of Enliven Disability’s community services operations and budget ensuring this work meets the needs of the people we support.

You will support the development of new community services across Hawke’s Bay and contribute the wider Enliven Disability leadership team.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a strong leader with the ability to clearly articulate the vision of Enliven Disability  services and inspire people to work towards this.
  • A passion for working with disabled people and their whanau.
  • Competence in effective team management.
  • Have the ability to be able to manage the competing demands of overseeing several contracts and workstreams.
  • Be experienced in change management.

You will need:

  • A Health professional or Human Services qualification in the disability sector
  • Be passionate about working with disabled people and their whanau.
  • Experience in coaching and developing staff
  • Experience and/or understanding of working in Hawke’s Bay communities.
  • Have a clear understanding of Enabling Good Lives Principles and current disability support best practice.
  • Be able to demonstrate cultural competency.
