Presbyterian Support East Coast is made up of over 220 staff and 100 volunteers across its services, Enliven and Family Works in Hawke’s Bay and Tairawhiti, and two charity shops in Havelock North and Taradale.
A shop assistant role at our PSEC Charity Shop in Havelock North on Joll Rd has become available. As the shop assistant you will report to the Shop Manager and support with the running of the shop providing a high standard of customer service and ensuring the shop is performing to its potential.
You will have exceptional people skills to ensure that volunteers are well supported and are valued and connected to the organisation’s purpose.
Your previous experience in retail, keen eye for detail, creativity and resourcefulness will make your shop stand out.
You will have:
• Retail experience
• Team leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience working with volunteers.
• Strong organisational skills
• Good communication and admin skills
• Confident computer skills
The role is 20 hours per fortnight and includes working Saturday mornings from 8.30am to 1.30pm with flexibility to work either mornings or afternoons on one weekday. There is also the opportunity to increase hours to cover leave.
