PSEC: essential workers in the community

The New Zealand Government has declared that as of 11:59pm, Sunday 14 February, Auckland will move to Alert Level 3 and the rest of New Zealand will move to Alert Level 2 until 12 midnight, Wednesday 17 February.

The majority of PSEC’s vital work in the community is classified as essential services and remains operational, with restrictions.  This is the current status of our programmes under Alert Level 2. We will continue to update this as the situation develops.


Enliven Intensive Home Support will continue to provide services to clients in their homes. The service will continue to provide a safe level of personal care.

Enliven Day Programmes will provide reduced services to clients including welfare checks by phone.

Charity Shops in Napier, Taradale and Havelock North will close to public. This will be reviewed over the next couple of days and updated as necessary. 

Mosaic: Students may receive services online.

Family Works Hawke’s Bay: Our Family Works teams continue to provide social work, counselling, parenting programmes, family violence support and welfare calls. Service provision will include face to face delivery where possible.

Family Works Tairāwhiti / Tauawhi: Service provision will include face to face delivery where possible. Limited group sessions may be provided.

JH Mason and Sheilton Retirement Villages: Welfare checks will continue for all residents.
