PSEC CEO's Christmas letter to supporters and donors

Sanja Majstorovic3Season's Greetings to you all!

It is my pleasure to reach out to you on behalf of our team of staff, volunteers and Board to express my sincere gratitude for the wonderful support the Hawke’s Bay and Tairāwhiti communities have given Presbyterian Support East Coast (PSEC) services this year.

I am also thankful for the professional and caring support that our staff and volunteers provide to our clients, enabling them the confidence to face the new year, and whatever challenges it may bring.

Our organisation operates sustainably thanks to you – generous individuals and businesses with strong moral values who donate to your local community. We ask you to remember our clients at Christmas time. Thank you!
My best wishes for a peaceful and restful Christmas, and a happy, healthy New Year.

Blessings

 Sanja Majstorovic

A snapshot of 2019 from our services

Family Works Hawke’s Bay
Our year culminated with Family Works Hawke’s Bay winning an award in the “Commitment to Working Together to Improve Community Health and Wellbeing” category at the HB Health Awards. The award was for our Poipoi Mokopuna pilot programme, which supports whānau and non- whānau caregivers with tamariki in their care.

Family Works Tairāwhiti and Tauawhi Men’s Centre
Family Works Tairāwhiti and Tauawhi Men's Centre continue to be the only service in Gisborne to offer programmes for the entire family affected by violence. In the year to June 2019, Tauawhi Men's Centre supported 406 new clients. 99% of clients reported they felt better prepared for their future.

Enliven Disability Services
Our latest contract with ACC, Living My Life, is a disability support service providing a means for people with life-changing injuries to re-engage with their communities through social activities, hobbies, employment and more. It is inspiring seeing our clients reach their potential and fulfil their dreams.

Enliven Older People Services
We are pleased to welcome Sally’s Place to our list of community services, offering older people in Havelock North the opportunity to get active and stay independent. Enliven Intensive Home Support continues to support older people in their own homes.
