PSEC Celebration Garden Party Success

More than 70 people donned their best hats for high tea, at a Garden Party Celebration to raise funds for Presbyterian Support East Coast.

Guest Robin Bell from Hastings said he was blown away by the elegant event, held at Enliven Centre on Pakowhai Road.

“It was a very special occasion, the more I looked, and the more I talked about it, the more I realised the tremendous amount of work, thought, organisation, and imagination went into the whole event,” Mr Bell said.

“We take our hats – even the splendid ones – off to organisers. There were perfect detailed touches everywhere; I half expected the Duke of Norfolk to come strolling across the lawn – the whole occasion was very impressive.”

PSEC Head of Marketing Shirley Collins said the Garden Party provided a fantastic place to network and raise awareness of what PSEC does at a local level.

“It’s a lovely occasion for all of our board members, executive management team, service managers and staff to spend an afternoon, outside of our frantic day jobs relaxing, networking and mingling with others across our service divisions.

“We really enjoy meeting and bringing together sponsors, donors, suppliers and funders, along with a wide variety of friends of PSEC. It’s a totally different setting from our wonderful elegant evening event, Sparkle.”

A stunning garden setting was the backdrop to high tea, a classical music trio, old fashioned lawn games, raffles and an auction.
