Enliven’s community day programmes provide a friendly and supportive environment where you can connect with others and do the things you enjoy.
Enliven Older People is an approved Ministry of Health ad accredited ACC service. We offer activity and companionship programmes for older people living in their own homes or with family. For family carers, day programmes provide a chance to take a break. It’s also a great opportunity for older people living alone to enjoy quality social interactions.
Our Enliven Havelock North community day programmes run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and include:
Morning tea served with a delicious treat and/or lunch
Accredited falls prevention exercise classes
A range of exciting planned activities

We can help you find out more about a falls prevention Strength & Balance class in your community. There are 63 ACC-accredited Community Strength & Balance classes across Hawke’s Bay and Tairāwhiti.
Falls are not a ‘normal’ part of ageing. As we grow older, underlying health conditions or problems with balance, strength or mobility do increase our risk of falling. Have you slipped, tripped or fallen in the last year, can’t get out of a chair without using your hands, or have avoided activities because you’re afraid you might lose your balance? Then you could be at risk of a fall.
The good news is many falls are preventable, so stay active, stay safe and don’t give in to the fear of falling.
