On Saturday 14th June, PSEC was proud to attend the Hawke’s Bay Volunteering Expo & Big Shout Out, a fantastic event celebrating the spirit of volunteering across our region.
We were thrilled to have four of our amazing Charity Shop volunteers nominated for the Excellence Awards. Being nominated is a true honour and a reflection of the dedication, generosity, and heart that they bring to our team every single day. We couldn’t be prouder!
More than 250 people and over 40 organisations got together at Expo, creating a lively and inspiring atmosphere. PSEC hosted a stand with a “Guess the Jelly-Beans in the jar” challenge, which was a fun conversation starter and way to make new connections.
Thank you to our dedicated volunteers: your kindness, reliability, and commitment are the heart of our work. Every hour you give, whether you’re assisting customers, sorting donations, or working behind the scenes, helps us create a welcoming space and make a real difference in our community.
