A huge thank you to Te Mata School hosting a BrickFEST fundraiser to help build Rowan Apartments.
Over the school holidays, students took part in a Lego and craft construction competition, letting their creativity shine as they built and shared their dream homes. The energy and effort put into every entry was truly inspiring!
On Friday, 18 July, a gold coin mufti day was held, with students showing their support in colourful outfits and big smiles. The students raised an impressive $600, with all proceeds going directly to the Give a Brick campaign which is helping to build accessible homes for younger adults living with complex physical disabilities.
Andrew Wordsworth, Service Manager for Enliven Disability, attended assembly to draw the competition winner and tospeak to students about the important work Enliven Disability does in our local the community. Andrew engaged with the students and talked about how their support will help buy specialised equipment for the new accessible homes and build a better life for everyone.
We are so grateful to the Te Mata School whānau, for your kindness, creativity, and support which is making a real impact in the lives of others.
