Last Friday 14th May a unique fundraising duo hit Hawke’s Bay. Ethel & Bethel Bingo Babes made their way to the Bay for the first time, performing their entertaining, cheeky bingo night to a crowd of delighted guests.
Along with bringing people together through enjoyment, the purpose of the event is an important one – to fundraise for Enliven.
Enliven supports older people so that they have independence, companionship, choice, and purpose in their lives. Support workers, nurses and social workers provide wrap-round support to older people in their homes so they can remain independent for longer. Through regular day programmes, Enliven offers social interaction, exercise and activities for older people and people with dementia across Hawke’s Bay.
The generous support of guests, bingo round sponsors, and prize donors meant that over $17,000 was raised for Enliven.
Thank you to all for coming along and taking part. As Ethel & Bethel would say, it was a swell evening Loves.
