Cyclone Gabrielle Recovery – PSEC Donations

Following Cyclone Gabrielle, our PSEC Charity Shops and Enliven Havelock North offices were overwhelmed with generous donations from across New Zealand. Auckland donations received were organised through Fairley Motor Lodge and included non-perishable food, baby supplies, and toiletries. These have been distributed to people affected by the cyclone. Civil Defence Hawke’s Bay filled our truck with clothing donations which have been sorted, marked, and are ready to distribute.

Family Works Hawke’s Bay is co-ordinating and  distributing donated items to anyone who has been affected by the floods in Hawke’s Bay and Tairāwhiti. If you, or anyone you know, are in need of this type of support, please contact Carlotta at Family Works Hawke’s Bay by emailCarlotta.Bauer-Edwards@psec.org.nz or call 06 876 2156.

We are grateful for the support of our volunteers and staff who have been amazing at working through volumes of donations. Thank you to each one of you and also to those who have kindly offered additional hours to tackle the increased workload . We are in need of more volunteers in our Taradale shop. If you have a few hours to spare and would like to help, please email volunteer@psec.org.nz
