Rowan flood recovery: Finishing touches in sight!

We’re excited to share great news about the flood recovery at Rowan. The hardworking building team wrapped up the main part of the job and are now completing minor finishing touches. No detail has been forgotten in the finer details being done. In early November, flatters moved into their freshly done home, and it’s been fantastic seeing life return to some form of normality after being displaced due to Cyclone Gabrielle flood damage.

We’ve got more good news—upgrades for a second house are already in full swing and will be well advanced before the Christmas shutdown period. We’ve learned from the flood recovery work in the first house, and we’ll be applying those lessons to make the upgrade in the second house even smoother. We’re all about sustainability so we are reusing existing features wherever we can.

We need $300,000 to finish upgrading the second house. Please help where you can by donating here.

It’s been a journey, but we’re almost there! Check back for more updates, and here’s to a settled and safe holiday season for the flatters who have returned to a restored home.
