Scarlett the Therapy Dog brings joy to Enliven Disability

Scarlett is a six-year-old Curly Coated Retriever x Murray River Retriever. Along with Leah Bray, Scarlett has been working with people living with disabilities since age one, and consistently for the last three years.

For over two years Scarlett has been a registered Canine Friends Pet Therapy dog and has been bringing so much joy to older people in a local rest home each week. Now Scarlett is visiting Enliven Disability flatters on Wednesdays and comes to a weekly Leadership meeting at PSEC’s head office too.

Scarlett was really quite sad since Leah finished up at a previous job where together they supported people in the community twice a week. Leah says that since she joined Enliven Disability as a Community Navigator that Scarlett is back to doing what she loves, “It’s great to be able to enrich people’s lives again here at Enliven. Scarlett truly loves the ‘work’.”
