New publication: The Gift of Arohiwi

We are proud to present
The Gift of Arohiwi publication

Arohiwi Station is a special sheep and beef farm near Puketitiri, around 56km north-west of Napier. The farm generates funds to support people in need through our services, Enliven and Family Works.

How Arohiwi became part of PSEC

Over many years, parts of the 1,471.5 ha property have been generously gifted to PSEC, and since 2013 we have been the sole shareholder. We especially acknowledge Laura Mitchell (née Holt), whose initial gift in 1978 began our connection with this remarkable place.

We are pleased to present a new publication: The Gift of Arohiwi

The publication offers a snapshot in time, bringing together personal memories and reflections from some of the people who have been part of Arohiwi’s journey. Rather than being a full historical record, it gathers the voices of Board members, farm managers, advisors, whānau and friends.

Across the pages you’ll hear about the farm’s history, its gardens, environmental plan, the current on-farm team. You’ll read about the impact Arohiwi continues to have on its neighbouring community and the wider region through its contribution to PSEC’s work.

Arohiwi’s story is far from over, but this publication gives us a chance to pause and reflect. We hope you enjoy learning about some of the people and moments that have shaped its journey so far.
