About the Role:

You will provide day to day support of the Tauawhi team and co-ordinate self community referrals to Tauawhi Men's Centre whānau. 

You will need:

  • A bi-cultural holistic approach to delivering support services.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • An understanding of Te Reo Maori and Tikanga
  • A relevant qualification
  • Experience in leadership is desirable
  • An ability to listen and respond to the whānau's voice
  • A strength-based approach to the mahi
  • Experience working with whānau
  • A clear understanding of legislation, compliance standards, policies and procedures
  • Strong technical knowledge and organisational skills

To be successful in this role:

  • You will have a passion for improving outcomes for whānau in Tairāwhiti
  • A Social Work degree or equivalent is desirable
  • Previous experience in the social sector.
